How To Write A 2,000 Word Blog Post In 30 Minutes Or Less

How To Write A 2,000 Word Blog Post In 30 Minutes Or Less

Have you ever wanted to make money blogging but you’ve said to yourself, “Well, I’m just not a writer.”

Have you ever had that conversation with yourself?

Have you ever been short on time and know that you needed to get your blogpost done fast but you wanted to make sure that you did a quality job and have put in the length of words that was required?

Have you ever had that experience happen?

Well, if you answered ‘Yes’ to either of those questions, you’re going to want to continue reading this blog post because what I’m going to reveal to you,

…is how to write a 1500 to 2000 word blogpost in under 30 minutes.

It could be faster actually.

We’re talkin’ as little as 15 minutes.

And why is this exciting?

Well, it excites me because I recently attended a seminar (a few weeks ago) where I learned from one of the number 1 bloggers in the world.

One of the tips he said, is you want to do your very best (his name is Neil Patel, btw) to make sure that your blogpost are at least 2,000 words long.

And why is this important?

It’s important because people, through the search engines, are going to find your blogpost through keywords.

And the longer your post is, the more chances you have of being found on the internet.

Specifically, Neil Patel, the guy who gets 700,000 visitors to one blog and 800,000 visitors per month to another blog,

…said that 90% of his traffic comes from what’s known as long tail keywords.

They’re simple phrases (3-5 words long) that people are finding.

So if you make your blogpost 2,000 words or more, you make a better chance of people finding your stuff through long tail.

This is one of the reasons you want to blog everyday and make your blog posts long.

But what do you do if you’re not a writer or what do you do if you’re short on time?

1 – First, You want to decide what you’re going to blog about.

A lot of the questions I get from people regarding blogging center around this particular question.

They’re like, “Paul, what do I blog about?”

They have this fear of not being able to come up with ideas to get their content around.

Well, let me give you a couple of quick tips as to what you can blog about.

  • You can blog about things you’re reading and the books you’re reading.
  • If you’re listening to audios, you can blog about ideas you’re learning in those audios.
  • To blog about things that you know how to do (that you take for granted). Everybody knows how to do things that they take for granted.

For instance, i was at my mom and dad’s house the other night and they were telling me about this AMAZING Chinese dish they made.  You could blog about something like THAT For heaven sakes.

2 – After you know what you’re going to blog about, you want to organize your thoughts.

This simply means to come up with a list that you want to talk about in your blog.

You can say the “Top 6, Top 7, or Top 9…” You could even blog about 2 or 3 things you need to know to cook a great Chinese meal!

You want to organize your thoughts because when you begin to write your post, you want to be able to think coherently, write coherently, and you want your reader to be able to understand you and the simplest way to do that is to organize your thoughts into a list.

3 – Pull up your iPhone or some sort of video recording device, turn it on, and begin to speak.

This is how you’re going to write a big, long, juicy, fat, and engaging blog post in a very short amount of time.

You’re not going to write it, you’re going to speak it (like what I’m doing now on this blog post – you’re actually reading a transcription of a video I made yesterday.  Cool eh?).

You start to speak into the camera and writing your blog post by recording it.

4 – Once your video is done, turn off your camera, upload it on YouTube or Facebook and then you go to Fiverr and find someone who can transcribe your video for $5 or so.

There are people on there who can transcribe a 15minute video, there are people on there that will transcribe a 30minute video, for as little as $5.

And so you hire them to transcribe your video.

Depending upon how fast you’re speaking, you’re probably going to want to shoot a video that’s at least 9-10minutes to get a full 1700 words in,

…that’s what I noticed yesterday on my video.

I spoke pretty quickly on that video and it was 9 minutes and it came out to 1700 words.

5 – After you get your transcribed video, you’re going to copy your text and paste it into your blog post.

6 – Go through the content and edit for style.

There are a couple of things that you want to do when you edit your post.

A – Make it edible to the reader by chunking your content up to 1-2 sentence blocks.

B – Insert some headlines, some headers (at least 2 or 3)

C – Insert some outbound links.

This is another tip I got from Neil Patel.

He said that the links that are in your content are going to get way more clicks compared to the banner links on the side or the bottom.

D – Highlight a few things if you want to put some emphasis on some stuff.

EAdd some images.

Once you hit on Publish, you’ve now got your new blog post!

It probably took you around 10 minutes or less.

It’s absolutely incredible!

This is a great way to write long, fat, and juicy blog posts that are easy to do, that are going to get found by visitors on the search engine that will get you leads, traffic and sales!

THE HIDDEN BENEFIT TO THIS SECRET PROCESS

One other little thing I want to share is that there is little benefit into doing this as well.

The hidden benefit is that you’re going to become a better writer and you’re going to become a better speaker as you go through this process.

How often do you make a YouTube video and then watch the YouTube video to see how much you’ve engaged with your readers?

If you’re like me – the answer is not very often.

Yesterday, when I made my Facebook video and had it transcribed and posted on my blog, I was able to pick up some things.

When I opened up my video, I didn’t ask any questions.

So when I was editing my blog post, I was thinking about my communication in my video.

And as you’re speaking into your video, you’re thinking about good practices of blogging, like using words of ‘You’ or ‘I’ and having an engaging conversation with the person on the other end of the camera, that’s good stuff for blogging too.

Pretty cool don’t you think?

So using this strategy and at the same time – editing your own communication skills (via voice, video and audio) is going to let you become a more engaging blogger.

🙂

PS – Do you have any tips for fast blogging that I missed?

  12. Hello Paul, I’ve watched a couple of your videos and they really make sense, For a person just trying to get into a field I think they need to watch you and put a plug in for the training they can get from empower network. Since I’m on a very limited income to join any thing with money I have to save it up and that takes time, but I do enjoy what you get across to people in your videos. Have a good day and may GOD help us all understand what it is all about.
