Jesus, John & BIG Downlines (6 Secrets Revealed)

Top 6 Ways Modeling Jesus And John The Baptist Can Result In Massive Home Business Downlines

ha ha.

Ok – so I already know what you’re thinking.

“Paul… What the!? ”

Right?

Well stay with my friend.

Today  in my morning study I discovered 6 key insights that I believe are gonna make a massive shift in my ablity to lead even BIGGER groups of people,

AND –

These 6 ideas – I Believe – can do the same for you as you continue pushing forward your movement as a freedom crusader.

I ain’t kiddn’ now,

Pay attention?

You with me?

Jesus & John Key Insight #1 – The Message

For 15 minutes of my study today – I read the first few chapters of Mathew from the Bible.

Now – before you get all huffy puffy on me and tell me how you’re against religion & so on…

I wanna point something out.

As far as I know- the Bible is the best selling book of all time.

From what I can see – it’s also a text that has inspired a following of, hmmm…

let’s see,

Uh – Half the world?

S0 – let’s put religion and spirtual value aside for now,  and just admit that a book that’s been able to do THAT

..just might be worth looking into.

Agree?

Cool, let’s move on.

So – one of the first things I noticed as John The Baptist bounced on the scene – was his message.

The message itself – is one that speaks the core of humanity.

It’s one that has the potential to inspire all who hear it.

It’s a message that could very well be  –

…one of the most attractive messages EVER

…judged by it’s tendency to literally SUCK people into it.

What’s the message you say?

Repent and be baptized?

Well – yeah, sort of but what does it mean to “Repent”?

What’s another word for that?

Can you guess?

Here’s what I saw.

Change!

John the baptist said to the people – CHANGEbecome better!

Lay aside your old self and embrace the new in preperation for the better future that’s at hand.

Isn’t that an attractive message?

Isn’t that similar to what we do in Network Marketing/ Home based business?

Admonish people to change?

Now – as if that wasn’t enough of a clue –

THEN

– Jesus – comes on the scene.

And what does he say?

Pretty much the same thing.

CHANGE!

Get better!

Throw away all of those things that are holding you back from fulfilling your true DESTINY in life.

The big lesson?

Our core message, as network marketers & Home Business professionals – IF we want to be as attractive as possible – should be a message centered around change.

Jesus & John Key Insight – The Message Must Be Edible

Hold on ther Polyanna!

Telling people to change in and of itself might not be the right way to go about it.

Have you ever had someone tell you what you SHOULD be doing?

And, even though you knew they were right – the fact that they were telling you to do it made you want to NOT do it?

C’mon  – be honest.

We’re all a little rebellious at heart arent’ we?

WE wanna be the ones to figure it out right?

Even though we might know the people are hungry for dinner -the last thing we wanna do is throw a raw steak in their face.

As skilled leaders and influencers – we wanna cook that baby up just right.

We wanna toss it on an attractive dinner plate and throw down some parsley and veggies for good measure right?

Again – we look to John the baptist and Jesus to model the best way to PRESENT the people with our nice juicy steak.

Jesus & John Key Insight #2 – Metaphors

For whatever strange reason – the mind seems to respond in profound ways to metaphors  doesn’t it?

A metaphor is a story or an example of some thing or situation that,

…has likeness to the the message we’re trying to get across to people.

When we use metaphors in our communication – it seems to allow the message to be disguised a bit – so it’s not being shoved right in the face.

The real message is hidden below the surface, slightly.

Because it’s not blatant – the mind of the receiver seems to have to search a bit to catch the meaning.

Maybe this is why metaphors work so well.

Metaphors seem to trick people into thinking they came to the conclusion (that they need to change) all by them selves.

When people come to their own conclusion they seem to OWN THAT BABY!

Much more so than us just telling them what to do.

Don’t they?

The bible is FILLED with metaphors but here’s one I noticed in Matthew Chapter 3.

John the Baptist uses this one – and boy – it’s a doozy for change- lemme tell ya.

Here’s what he says.

“Behold, the axe is laid at the root of the tree and the tree that doesn’t bring forth good fruit shall be HEWN down and cast into the fire”

YOWZA!

Sorta makes you wanna change now, doesn’t it?

In any case – when you’re speaking to people about change – you can use this quote from John the Baptist and it’ll be effective for several different reasons.

A- It’s a metaphor

B – It’s a quotation from someone else so you’ll be giving a message that you’re 1 step removed from.

This can be useful for a couple different reasons that maybe we’ll get into on another blog post.

C – It comes from the Bible – and so – with a lot of people (not all) – but a lot – carries some serious authority with it.

Use with caution and at your own discretion.  🙂

Jesus & John Key Insight #3 – Stories

So I had a funny experience this morning.

On our morning mastermind – We were about to get into the lesson on Definite Chief Aim in The Law Of Success.

Every day on our mastermind – we repeat the Definite Major Purpose.

EVERY success teacher on planet earth talks about purpose and clarity as step #1.

And here we are, about to study a whole BIG block of text on the matter.

SO –

I wanted to impress upon myself and the group – to come at the subject with humility.

You know- the idea that we don’t know everything and there’s always something to learn even on a subject we might feel we really grasp.

SO——

I basically came out on the call and TOLD people to be humble.

Then – we get into the chapter and Napoleon Hill tells stories that tell people to be humble.

Later on – I was watching my 2 little guys while my wife was at the dentist.

We were playing foosball- and I was doing some thinking.

I got up to walk around the corner and into the office and began to talk to myself out loud.

I say ….

“Don’t TELL them – tell them STORIES that tell them”

I hear my wife laugh.

She had snuck in the door and was sitting on the couch & heard me talking out loud to myself.

Isn’t that a great lesson though?

When we want to TELL people something…

Our teams – our families our prospects –

The first inclination is to just TELL them.

That doesn’t work very well for a whole SLEW of reasons.

Instead – we wanna be like Jesus & John & Napoleon Hill.

Tell them a STORY that tells them the lesson.

From now on – I’m going to be cataloging stories that teach different lessons that I may want to get across to my audience.

And I’m going to strive to remember this great lesson.

Don’t TELL them, tell them a STORY that tells them.

Jesus & John Key Insight #4 – Brevity

So there I am – reading this Bible and I’m imagining Jesus as He’s doing what he’s doing.

You know – going about his business of recruiting followers and telling people to change.

There’s this part in the story – where he comes across a couple dudes names Andrew and Simon.

What does he say?

“Come follow me and I’ll make you fishers of men”

I’m thinking…

That’s it?

Really Jesus – that’s all you can come up with?

Then I see the effect it has on Simon and Andrew – I’m blown away.

According to the book – they leave their nets straightaway and go follow Jesus.

It reminded me of a prospecting lesson from our hangout last night.

When you’re prospecting via phone – Facebook or whatever.

THE LESS YOU SAY THE BETTER!

In the first part of the interaction – you wanna ask questions and listen.

BREVITY

When you finally do come to the point where you’re gonna drop the question…

It’s BRIEF.

Simple

a one liner  -just like Jesus.

If I could show you a way to _____________________ Would you be open to ________________________?

That’s it!

The one’s who are open will be like Andrew and Simon – they’ll  respond in the affirmative & you can get them the link.

They’ll leave their nets and come follow you.

If they’re not open – that’s it – go your way – keep looking for more fishers of men who wanna get on your bus & drive into the vision.

Thank you Jesus for teaching me this Great lesson in BREVITY!

Up to now we’ve been talking about the message itself and methods of getting it out there.

Now I wanna switch gears for a moment and talk about the INTENT behind the message and the result of applying all of these key insights.

Jesus & John Key Insight #5 – The Intent

The intent of your message is pretty important isn’t it?

I mean – I remember in my first network marketing company – One of my mentors told me about a Harvard study that said that like 90% of our communication is non-verbal.

He went on to tell me that’s why BELIEF matters so much.

It’s why VISION matters so much.

It’s why enthusiasm matters so much.

Because most of our messaging will be – not what we say – but how we say it.

How we say it – seems to come from our INTENTION.

So what was Jesus’s intention?

We can infer from the text.

Mathew 4:23 – And Jesus went all about Galileee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom (change?) – and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Mathew 4: 24 – And his fame went throughout all Syria:  and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had palsy and HEALED Them.

What do you notice in those 2 versus?

Me?

I notice the words healing.

In other words- It seems to me that Jesus had very good intentions for what he was doing.

I wanted to heal the people.

And MAYBE – this was an intention – that made his message so effective.

Can we not be like this in home business as we’re building teams.

Can our intention be to HEAL the people?

Heal them from Untrue – disempowering thoughts that hold them back from living lives of FULL potential?

Healing them from DEVILS of negativity – Cynicism – Laziness- Mediocrity?

I think – if the INTENTION behind our message of change is one of goodness and healing – wrapped up in metaphors, stories and brevity – we just might have the desired effect?

Jesus & John Key Insight #5 – The Effect

.. and his fame went through all the land.

And there followed him GREAT multitudes of people,

..from this place, and that place and places all around the land.

Isn’t THAT the effect we’re looking for in network marketing as we march forward into the future building teams of MULTITUDES?

Maybe-

…just maybe – these 6 key insights from Jesus and John can help us out with that.

—->The Message – change – Metaphors – stories – brevity – the intent (to heal) <—–

Thanks for reading and happy fishing!

Paul

PS – What is ONE thing you’re going to do differently after reading this article?
