Marketing Is Dead

That’s what Seth Godin said in his book The Purple Cow.

People are busy.  Competition is fierce.   The noise is loud.

How to be heard?

First, be remarkable.  (like a purple cow)

  • Be so good
  • So consistent and
  • Care so much

They can’t ignore you.

Second, engage.

In a fast paced, auto-pilot, highly connected but disconnected world,

Be the one who connects.

The more disconnected we become through ‘connecting’ technology, the more we tend to crave real connection.

Can you listen?

Can you care?

Can you lift?

If so, you can stand out.

So maybe marketing isn’t dead.

It’s just been resurrected to a new way (that’s more in alignment with the old way).
