God’s Eyes

At this last event, I was listening to one of my friends Joseph, tell the story of his spiritual journey.

(He’s the one in the blue shirt)

Joseph and his wife Beige grew up in a church called The Church of Christ and he went on to become a preacher in that church.

They both have a very interesting story.

One day Joseph had a new insight that led to what people around him described as him becoming much wiser than he was before.

His sister asked him one day, “Joseph how do you know all these things and why is it that you seem to always be filled with peace and happiness.

Joseph told her, “Well sis, one day I just started asking God to show me what He wanted me to see.

After I did that – I started seeing so much beauty in life and in people that I hadn’t noticed before.”

I had a similar experience a few years back.

My prayers used to be all about God showing me or confirming to me what I wanted to see or have confirmed to me.

One day I tried something different.

I said… “Please just help me to find truth, wherever it lies.”

Interestingly enough, I also started to see things that I hadn’t seen before.

There’s an old saying that says something to the effect of “For now we see through a glass, darkly.”

Seeing through a glass darkly means our vision can be clouded.

With God’s eyes though, perhaps the light can come in and clear some things up for us.

In the Old Testament, it says…

“God said let there be light, and there was light.”

A few verses later, it talks about mankind being given dominion over much of our earthly journey.

Maybe we are the ones who need to say (or pray) ‘let there be light’.

And God’s eyes can help us to see through the darkness and find that light that is there.

PS – Mike & I went live today for our 7th edition of Freedom Crusaders Live.

On today’s presentation, we share some tips on live events, culture and how these things can help to build something great and long-lasting.

(residual income definitely included) 🙂

You can watch the replay here as long as you see it before we take it down, tomorrow @ midnight.

All the best!

  1. Paul – Not only did god say “let there be light” but then a few days later, he created the sun!!!! He MADE LIGHT WITHOUT THE SUN!!! WOW! Guess what? We can too.

I really needed to read this today. Sometimes my negative thoughts take over and I forget to ask for the light. I am so grateful to have read this post. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
