The 5 Step Newbie Proof Easy Traffic YouTube Formula

If you decide to read this short post, you’ll pick up 5 SUPER simple tips for making simple videos on YouTube that are EASY to rank for & easy to be found so that you can get FREE traffic & leads for whatever you’re promoting.

If you’ve been around the marketing game for a while, I’d like to first invite you to empty your cup.

The dogma has always been, Step 1 – TARGET A MARKET that is HUNGRY and LOOKING for whatever it is you’re selling.

I’m not going to tell you that’s bad advice. It isn’t. It’s great advice.

Problem is, EVERYONE and their dog and their dog’s mamma is doing that and so the competition for the markets like this can be fierce.

What’s a freedom crusader to do?

Pay attention because this little strategy could be the oasis in the desert of lost hope you’ve been looking for. πŸ˜‰

Step 1 – Pick a longtail keyword that you can make a video on, that has at least some people looking for it.

This can be on ANY topic.

But Paul, it’s not targeted.

Yes, I know this but let me ask you a question.

If you asked 100 non target people if they wanted to build an income that would make it so they never had to work another day in their life, and they believed you, how many do you think would say yes?

Exactly .

So even though this video you make isn’t about “Making money from home” or “learning how to generate more leads” or whatever other super hot, super targeted, super high competition keyword that everyone else is targeting…

If you make a great video, actually help people, and then present a good call to action at the end of the video, you are likely to get some people opting in and joining whatever business you’re promoting.

Pro Tip 1: If you find a keyword that there are ZERO existing videos about, you may have just hit the jackpot.

“But Paul, it’s 2023 and these types of keywords don’t exist anymore.”

BULL!

A few weeks ago I was looking for some help on installing a snow blower to my tractor.

Not one freaking video – in ALL of internet land, had the information I was looking for.

So, I made this video while I was doing what I was going to be doing anyway.

Step 2 – Make Your Video

These days it’s SOOO Super easy to make videos. I made the above video with my phone in clips.

Today, I threw all the clips into my favorite editing tool, Descript, deleted the fluff, added some captions and a call to action and Wallah! Badda bing badda boom, finished video.

Step 3 – Prepare Your Title, Thumbnail and Video Description While Your Video Is Rendering

Today, I opened up a simple google doc so I could make good use of my time while I was waiting for Descript to pump out my video.

Pro Tip 2: I use Canva for my thumbnails, and many times I just duplicate one I’ve already created and swap out the text on the thumbnail. (image too if I’m feeling ambitious).

Pro Tip 3: You can even use our Nifty Artificial Intelligence Friend, Emerson to help you craft a KILLER headline, a description, and even hashtags for your description.

I wouldn’t use Emerson for the keywords though. For that, you’ll want to put your main keyword in as the first one, and then a combination of other keywords that relate to your main keywords (think synonyms). You can also look up high traffic related YouTube videos and grab some of their best keywords that make sense to your video (this will help your video get suggested on theirs for even more traffic).

Step 4: Upload Your Video & Thumbnail And Copy/Paste The Above Details.

Does it get any easier than this?

Check out the search result for this video I literally, just published.

This video is showing up high for MULTIPLE keywords!

Step 5: If you want to go the extra mile, share the video

I like to click on the share options below the video and do some simple shares like

  • Embed on a blog

You can even email the video to your email list.

“But Paul, no one on your email list wants to see your tractor video!”

Maybe, but I bet there are some people on my email list who would like to know how to get more easy traffic on YouTube. (see what I did there) πŸ˜‰

So there ya have it my friend.

  • Pick a longtail keyword with some traffic
  • Make your video simple style, using your phone
  • Prepare your YouTube Description while your video is rendering
  • Upload your video & copy paste the description
  • Share the video
