Your Weekly Home Biz Edge: Leads, Sales Tips & AI Breakthroughs

Buckle up boys and girls, it’s time for my weekly blog post.

This weekly blog is my attempt, to minimize my workload and maximize my value to you.

It used to be I’d write an email every single day of the week.

A while back I realized “dang I’m spending an hour every single day to write an email!”

It’s always been a labor of love, so I was fine with it but….

Turns out there were other things I wanted to do with that hour AND maybe, i reasoned, my subscribers might appreciate hearing from me a little less, but with a little more value when they do.

🤷‍♂️ is there anyone you actually want to get an email from every single day? 🤔

You can let me know in the comments below…

Alright Paul, think, what do home business owners actually want to read about?

Well, there’s leads of course, so let’s talk about that for a bit.

Most of my leads right now are coming from a Facebook ad I’m running.

My cost per lead is around $5.

Personally I’m happy with that cost because these are high Quality leads.

Let me define.

  • Real people (Much more than you can say for the vast majority of junk leads and traffic most pour souls buy online.)
  • Targeted (I know they’re in home business and want to learn more about lead generation, sponsoring and recruiting.)
  • Getting to know me via the opt-in & follow up process. (It’s my picture in the ad, It’s videos of me they see on the training page, And it’s follow up from me, they get in their email inbox.) *This is essential for marketing. People do business with people they know, like, and trust, right? When it comes to marketing you want to build yourself into the equation as fast as possible.
  • I’ve even had a few sales already from these leads and I know there will be more. (Most of your sales always come with time and cultivation.)

Biggest Takeaway with Facebook ads?

It’s nowhere near as hard as I had made it out to be in my mind.

My ad is a simple smiling picture of me, with a headline, that takes people to a Facebook form that automatically prepopulates their contact info. (So I don’t even need a capture page.)

The only thing I do to maintain this ad is to check it periodically and make sure the cost per lead is acceptable.

If you’ve got a few bucks a day to spend consistently on lead generation, you may wanna give it a shot.

What about free leads, Paul?

Yeah buddy, free leads are my favorite. In fact, I only recently started doing paid ads. So the good news is you can make a fortune without spending a dime on ads.

As I often remind people, there are only two ways to build a business from home. You either talk to people and give invitations, or you do marketing.

When it comes to free marketing, It boils down to content creation.

The biggest key if you want to have success with content creation based on my dang near 20 years of experience… ?

Consistency.

That being said… Here are a couple quick tips I shared with one of our members in a coaching session last week.

  1. You must get attention right at the start of your video.
    • Use a headline and/or thumbnail that catches their attention with something they really want, or something that makes them curious.
    • In alignment with getting attention, you can start the video in a dramatic part of a story OR you can tell them exactly what they’re going to get if they watch the video.

Here’s an example of one of my shorts that was catching some fire this last week.

You see the headline drives curiosity and the video starts dramatically with my son saying “Dad, I hope you die before mom.”

And the second thing you must remember when it comes to creating content is…

People don’t care about you, they only care about how you can help them or what you can give them.

I know, I know, sad but true. (i’m wiping a tear from my face now as I write 😢)

Now I’m gathering my inner strength and deciding what to do about this.

In every piece of content you create, you have to ask yourself, what is this going to do for someone who watches, reads, or listens?

Of course, you will end up definitely talk about yourself and your life & business experiences in your content.

You just wann make sure that when you do, you talk about the parts that deliver value to someone else.

Example: Tell a story from your life that delivers a key takeaway. This way people get to know you and get something they want at the same time.

Also remember “How To” content.

If you’re teaching someone how to do something, It’s nearly impossible to make the content all about you.

Alright, how bout’ we shift gears to

A little motivation and inspiration?

Okie dokie, Smokey.

Here’s a free little audio training from this last week called…

Little Known, Highly Effective, Rarely Practiced Sales Secrets

It’s a little sample of “The call that changed it all” for me all those years ago.

I started doing this call every day back in 2009, and it turned out to be one of the biggest pillars to helping me to win my freedom.

There should be a banner somewhere here on my blog you can click on to learn more about this call and how you can plug into the community if you want. (no charge of course).

And if you’re looking for some quick inspiration, here’s a great quote I ran across last week that I’d never seen before.

The sooner you can get to a place in your business where you feel like your number one goal is to serve the people who are looking to you for leadership, the better.

I love being around people who want more for me, instead of from me.

Be one of those kinds of people and your audience will feel it.

Tools & Tech News

I read a post on X a week or two ago that said something like…

In times of rapid change, the best thing you can do is learn.

I’m so thankful to be in a place where I can spend most of my time every day doing just this.

Of course, most if not all of my focus in learning these days centers around artificial intelligience.

A.I. is giving superpowers to those who know how to use it, and this trend is likely to continue and compound.

I listened to a podcast last week where a tech entrepreneur said that AI is moving our economy from one of specialization to one of generalization.

Translation: Many of the specialized skills, that historically have required an employee or an entire department in a company, are now being effectively handled by artificial intelligence.

We’re moving into an era, where specialists are being replaced by AI, and directed by the generalist.

The generalist is the type of person who’s able to think broadly and in big picture, systems style thought.

The generalist knows what tools are available, and how to use those tools, to coordinate them.

How all of this ends up playing out for network marketers and affiliate marketers, is still a little TBD, but here’s what we know for sure…

The time to learn is now.

2 Biggest Announcements In A.I. This Week

OpenAI announced a new image generation model, that’s blown a few minds. 🤯

It’s the new gold standard in AI Image Generation.

Historically, AI has struggled with getting spelling right when using words on images.

This got the spelling & text right perfectly on my first try.

Another thing AI image gen has struggled with is aspect ratio.

You might want it to create you an image that’s 1200 pixels by 630 pixels to use as a featured image for a blog post.

I used to have a really hard time getting it to create these image sizes and I’d have to upload them into Canva to resize.

This new model nailed it.

Here’s how you can try it out for yourself.

Go to chatgpt, click the 3 little dots and select “Create Image”.

Once it gives you an image, you can talk back and forth with it for edits. So far? I like it.

In other news…Google released a model last week that apparently crushes all other models in performance.

It’s called Google Gemini Pro 2.5 pro experimental.

It’s described as Google’s “most intelligent AI model” to date, featuring advanced reasoning capabilities that allow it to “think” through problems before responding, resulting in enhanced performance and accuracy.

It launched with a 1 million token context window (capable of processing about 750,000 words),

You can access it for free in Google AI studio. You can also play around with Google’s other models there as well.

This week in social media.

Inquiring minds want to know, right?

Here are a couple interesting interactions I had on social media this week.

The first comes from our private members social media group where a lady posted some frustration and mentioned that she was going to quit and find something else to join if she couldn’t get someone to talk to her one-on-one.

Here’s what I told her.

On my Facebook ad, a lady who was in a former company I was in said,

You’re still doing online marketing? Wow, I thought you’d be retired on some beach somewhere.

I told her,

The goal isn’t just to get freedom for yourself, right? It’s to help others get there too.

That’s why we have a line in our manifesto that says… “even after I have obtained my freedom, I will continue to assist other crusaders on the path.

This is called having a “Long term mindset” and it’s by far, one of the BEST things you can do to create real and lasting success from home.

Like Tony Robbins said…

Most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year, but completely underestimate what they can do in ten.

And finally I got an email from someone who’d joined our company and was asking if we were going to be around for the long haul.

I told him…

I totally understand your desire to validate, and it’s smart. I’ve been with way too many companies that failed me over the years.

Residual income is not residual income if it doesn’t stay around.

The good news is, this is the entire reason we started our company.

Mike and I have both been disappointed over and over again. Finally, in 2016, we decided to be the change we wanted for ourselves and others.

If you come to one of our Saturday overviews, you’ll hear our story.

Of course, as you probably know, no one can accurately predict the future with 100% certainty. Someone once said that the best indicator of the future is the past.

In other words, look at someone’s track record more than what they say. If you look at our track record, I think you’ll see that we are a very good bet for being around far off into the future.

Mike and I started HBA in 2016, which makes it nine years now. During that time, we faced and overcame one of the biggest challenges that many new companies in the home business space face: merchant processing.

We navigated that successfully and found a long-term solution—one that fits and is very friendly to our type of business model.

We started working together around 2012, so that’s 13 years that Mike and I have been working together. One of the biggest challenges companies face is partner disputes, but Mike and I are best friends, and we’ve proven we can work together successfully long term.

If you look in the Bonus section of Our Premium Membership, you’ll see something called Daily Audio Goldmine. These are recordings of a conference call I started many years ago, and the archive goes back to 2011—that’s 14 years of daily, Monday through Friday, conference calls.

To sum it all up, we’re committed—long term. We plan to be doing this until we die. We never wanted to start a company, but due to the problems you mentioned from your story, we realized we had to.

And again, these are not just words. Our track record is in harmony with our intention.

Hope this is helpful, and I look forward to getting to know you and working with you.

All the best,

Paul

He responded.

Thank you Paul for your more than generous response we all understand when building businesses every business has a lifespan my goal was to discern how the founders of HBA think and I now have an opportunity that works in promoting growth and can be possibly tied into a filtering process for a network marketing opportunity (provided I find one that is on the upswing in 2025 which I have found to be difficult).

Meanwhile I can promote this cool funnel builder you guys have put together. Great work!

 Thank you,

And I responded back with a little more food for thought.

My pleasure and you’re very welcome.

I’m glad my answer was helpful.

And excited you’re going to promote the funnel builder.

Hey, one thing to keep in mind also, You don’t necessarily have to have a network marketing opportunity to promote. (of course that works too)

I focus 100% on what we have from the affiliate side and have been able to generate a really nice residual income.

Those $128 residual commissions from all of our products really do add up and make it so you can build a nice residual with a very small team.

Just something to think about.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Paul

Alright, that’s a wrap.

Did today’s post stimulate any thoughts? I’d love to hear them below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read, we’ll see you next time and until then, always go for your dreams!

Paul

PS: I almost forgot, this last week I created

A little tool to help check websites for SEO tags.

It helped me find a couple things to fix. If you have a website, plug it in here and see how it scores.

PPS: If you want to learn more about how I can help you build residual income from home, I’ll be live this Saturday at 9 AM EST, sharing an overview of the growth & income model we created & will leave time for some Q&A at the end.

I’d love to invite you to join us using this link.
