3 Simple Shortcuts To Blogging For Leads In 2015

TRANSCRIPT:

Paul: Hey there my friends.

This is Paul Hutchings with pipelinemoney.com coming to you live from the Swan and Dolphin Resort here in Orlando, Florida.

I’ll tell you what, we just finished up an amazing, amazing event.

I wanted to shoot this video real quick because-

Whoa! Whoa! Who’s that over there? Is that Mike Hobbs?

Oh my gosh. That’s incredible.

I have an amazing guy, here, let me switch over here, an amazing guy here.

Someone that I love very much. A friend, a business partner and a big earner in the home business, internet marketing profession.

I wanted to ask you, Mike?

Mike: Yep.

Paul: Anything on top of your mind you want to share?

Mike: Well, there was a really cool Facebook trick that we learned.

Paul: We like to trick people.  (not really – that was a joke)  😉

Mike: Well, it’s a tweak.

I don’t know if it’s a trick.

It’s more like a tweak that you can do.

Because here’s what normally happens.

You get on Facebook and you’re excited.

You just did your first blog post and you’re like, “I’m excited to promote this blog post.”

So, you go to the Facebook and you post the link.

And it looks nice.

There’s a nice picture that pops up from the blog, there’s a description.

Paul: This is Facebook tricking you by the way, right now, making you think it looks nice.

Mike: You think it’s nice and then you click post and then all of a sudden you look and you’re like,
“How come nobody’s liking it?

How come nobody’s sharing?

How come no one’s commenting? What’s going on?” Well guys, Facebook hates links.

Paul: Yeah.

Mike: They like internal stuff.

So here’s the tweak, the minor little tweak.

You can take that same image and this time you upload it to Facebook. Now you’re keeping people in Facebook, you’re using a Facebook feature that they love. You’re using an image inside of Facebook.

So now you have the image and now you just do a quick blurb about what the content is about your blog and have your link to the blog underneath that quick blurb and you bridge them from Facebook into your content.

The person that trained us on this said you get a three times the results from a normal just posting your link. It takes you a couple extra seconds to download the image and upload it to Facebook and you get three times the results. So, who wants that? Right?

Paul: Me.

Mike: I know. Definitely. Definitely.

Paul: You know, that’s such a great tip. And one other tip that we learned this weekend, one thing that we learned is that the days of everyone wants to blog for leads and get sales and blogging is a great way, content marketing is a great way to generate leads and sales for whatever business you’re in, however, things have changed a little bit.

It used to be that you could just blog every day and just throw up whatever kind of content and if you did enough of it, you could get lucky and start to get traffic leads and sales.

It’s not quite that way anymore. We learned about something really cool that I want to share with you.

Then Mike actually came up with a brilliant idea. Actually, go ahead. What did we learn about blogging? What do you want to do these days with content creation?

Mike: So the new way of blogging is creating epic content. So what does this mean? It means not just one tip that you learned, or three tips that you’ve learned, and you don’t have to do this daily.

You just need to create one piece of really awesome content. What does this mean? Maybe you have 21 tips, 21 tips of blogging.

Or the 50 ways to market on the internet, right? Or 100 ways to market your business effectively. It could take you a month to write this blog post.

Paul: Yeah.

Mike: 100 different ways, right? It’s long, it’s epic. That is what’s ranking nowadays. That is what’s getting attraction nowadays. Then what you do is we came up with a pretty cool way of promoting this, right?

Paul: Yeah.

Mike: Do you have to blog daily and post daily? Nope.

Paul: Nope.

Mike: You can take the same blog post and if you do 100 tips, you could take one tip and share that on Facebook with an image linking to your blog for the rest of them.

Then the next day, you share the same blog again with a new image and a new tip. You can have content for Facebook for 100 days for doing one blog post.

Paul: That’s awesome. You know what I was just thinking? This video is turning into an epic video. Because we’re giving way more than just one tip, right?

Mike: Yeah.

Paul: So we better stop.

Mike: I know.

Paul: We better stop with the tips.
