After you’ve properly invited someone if they’re open to looking at your project, it can be super tempting to just send them the link to the video and leave it at that.
Big mistake.
I recently paid $500 for a series of training videos.
I’ve only made it through 3 so far.
Life’s busy right?
If I’m having a hard time getting through videos I wanted to watch badly enough to pay $500 dollars for, how much more difficult will it be for your prospect to watch a free video that (if you did a good job in your invitation) they just kind of want to watch?
This is where the 3 step confirmation comes to the rescue.
Someone says “Yes, I’m open.”
You say, “Awesome! If I send you the video now, when can you watch it for sure?”
They say, “hmmm… maybe tomorrow?” (First confirmation)
You say, “Ok great. So If I check back with you day after tomorrow, you’ll have seen it for sure?”
They say, “Yes.” (Second Confirmation)
You say – “Great. I’d love to check back with you after you’ve seen it to hear what you thought & answer any questions you might have. When would be the best time on (insert day) to get back with you?”
They tell you the best time that works for them. (Third confirmation)
You say.. “Awesome… I’ll talk to you then. Here’s the link to the video.”
Now they’ve told you 3 times that they will definitely watch your video and they know you have a time set to follow up.
How much more likely do you think they are to actually watch your video?
A lot, right?
Going the extra mile with your invitations can save you a lot of wasted time.
Shout out to Eric Worre for teaching me this tip in his book Go Pro : 7 Steps To Becoming A Network Marketing Professional
It works wonders for affiliate marketing too! 😉
Awesome advice. People will normally do what they say they will do if we get a firn commitment.
Thanks Peter! It sure has worked well for me as I’ve tested it… 🙂 And you’re right.. getting a firm commitment helps a ton! For them and us.. 🙂
