This week I drove down to Utah to spend some time with my business partner Mike, to plan for our upcoming event.
We were both walking around the room masterminding, like we sometimes do, and Mike said something that set me back…
“Maybe we should stop telling people this is optional.”
This surprised me because Mike and I are pretty big on low pressure when it comes to sales and inviting people to do things.
As I quizzed him down, I remembered something I learned from a guy i interviewed on my podcast a while back.
This guy had built the fastest duplicating team in a pretty big company, called NuSkin.
During our interview he told me
“If someone doesn’t come to the event, I will NOT work with them, period, end of story, no more discussion.”
That’s not the first time I’ve heard this, of course, and I’ve always challenged it a bit in my mind.
If I’m being honest, it’s always felt a little ruthless to me.
Anyway, as Mike and I continued to chat, an idea flashed into my mind like a bolt of lightning.
“Wait a minute. We’ve done six events now and we have the data on who purchased tickets to attend those events. We also have data on which customers are currently active as customers.”
I wonder if there’s any correlation between those who purchased a ticket and those who’re still active.
We whipped out the computer, downloaded some info and began crunching digits in a spreadsheet.
Long story short, within just a few minutes, both of our minds were blown!
We learned something about residual income that could very well be the most important thing to know if you want to build a rock solid residual income stream that continues flow like a never ending river, far off into the future.
I kid you not when I say that after 20 years of crusading for freedom and residual income – we could NOT believe that we hadn’t seen this before and honestly, it changes so much about how I’m going to build in the future to help solidify my income, along with the incomes of those in my time, moving forward.
I believe understanding what Mike and I learned this week, can be an absolute game changer in building any business from home that has to do with network marketing or affiliate marketing.

One great nugget my friend Brett shared on the call is “Blame and remain, praise and be raised.” IMO, that’s not just a cute little phrase. Our words have FAR more impact on our thoughts, results and lives than we might imagine. More on this in today’s replay…

I have been struggling the last 3 years to make any money in the affiliate area. I have been on many different business opportunities during my lifetime. I think I have been in HBA for about 4 years now. I went to the Arizona and the North Carolina events. I cannot make it live this year, but I plan to be on the livestream. I have met so many wonderful people that I see every day on the T. & C Mastermind. I have made so many friends with this community. I have also acquired a mindset to stay the course…to persevere and I believe that I will eventually do the one thing I need to do to start and grow my business. I appreciate you two more than you know. I am thankful for you and I am blessed by you. I just wanted you to know how I feel. God bless you two.

You have the most important aspect for success nailed, imo, which is a commitment to stay the course. This is the thing that so many lack, unfortunately.
After that, it’s all about refining what you do while you stay the course.
