How To Work Less And Make More Money Now

Once upon a time a reporter, in an interview, asked a very wealthy man.

Reporter: “Sir, how did you get so wealthy?”

Wealthy Man: 2 words, ‘good choices‘.

Reporter: “And, how did you learn to make good choices?”

Wealthy Man: 1 word, ‘experience‘.

Reporter: “How did you get experience?”

Wealthy Man: 2 words, ‘bad choices‘.

Ain’t it the truth?

And that’s how we learn.

If we’re smart, we’ll strive diligently to learn from the mistakes and poor choices of other people so we don’t have to go through as much pain on the road to success.

This morning, as I was pondering, what to blog about,

….I decided that I’d share with you one of the BIGGEST breakthroughs I had in my network marketing journey…

…the one that’s been responsible for my being able to work much less, and earn WAY more money in my business.

This lesson came to me through some random experiences i had in network marketing.

I’ll never forget my first big income breakthrough. 

It was in the first part of 2011, and I was building a nutritional company.

I think this was about my 13th or so company.

(bad choices lead to wisdom, right?)   😉

Anyway, my monthly check had gone from $15, to $56, to $1,700 to $1,900.

This was the most money I’d EVER earned in network marketing and I was excited.

Commission day comes, I log into my back office, expecting to see maybe a $2,300 payout.

What I saw, caused my mouth to open so wide and my jaw to drop so low…

….i think I could have swallowed my entire computer in one bite.

I’m not kidding!

The check was SO BIG, I about fell out of my chair.

I immediately called my sponsor and told him it must be a mistake.

How on EARTH, could a team of 100 to 200 people produce a $7,240 residual check?

I was dumbfounded.

My poor choices in the past, had led me to a place of bewilderment.

Let me explain.

The first company I ever had success in, looked about like this.

A $60 dollar product with a $1 to $2 residual payout.

We were building locally (without the power of the internet).

I sponsored personally 23 people over 2 years, and the team eventually blossomed to 1,200 people (or something like that). 

My monthly check amount?

$600 per month. 

Fast forward to my next company.

We’re selling a liquid vitamin product for about $40 bucks a bottle.

This compensation plan had a bit of a twist.

I was earning $9 to $23 residual commissions per bottle sold in my organization.   

After 6 months, my team was about 250 in number and my monthly residual check was $1,500.

Are you starting to see a difference here?

Company one:  1,200 people for $600 a month

Company two:  250 people for $1,500 a month

Had I been paying attention, I would have recognized the key right away.

It didn’t finally hit me until #1 Key To Working Less and making more slapped me right upside the head in Company number three.

Company Three:  Team of 100 to 200 for $7,240?  

I had stumbled onto a little known law of income.

And it’s only ‘little known‘ to the people who don’t understand it yet.

Just this morning I was reading a new book by Frank Kern called

“Convert, The Simple Little Formula That Sold $50 Million Dollars Worth Of Products And Services Online.” 

In this book, Frank reveals the #1 Key to working less and making more money.

The EXACT same key, I stumbled upon through trial and error.

Here’s how he puts it on Page 7.

“What a lot of people overlook is that, in order to increase profits, we can also simply get more money for the same sale.”

Really, the only difference between the 3 experiences above, is the amount of commissions the company was paying me, for products sold in the organization.

That’s it!  

In company three, they had a company-wide profit sharing pool, to play in, when you’d built a team of between 30 to 60 people.

This effectively meant, that on a $60 product sale, we as reps, (because of the profit sharing pool), were able to earn $60 to $70 residual commission per product sold in the organization.   (100% commissions)

Thus, with an INFINITELY smaller team, I was able to earn 7 TIMES The amount of money that I’d EVER earned in network marketing.

I like to call this.. “The Law Of The Measuring Cup”… 

Let’s say you want to bake a cake.  (Your passive income cake) 

The recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar.

You’ve got your mixing bowl and the sugar container sitting on the table.

You can use a little tiny spoon, to move the sugar..

OR

You can use a big, 2 cup size, measuring cup.

Which one’s gonna get the job done faster? 

The answer’s obvious, isn’t it?
