The Money Bridge

I listened to a sales training the other day from a guy who’s done millions of dollars selling products through direct mail and advertising.

He said something I thought was right on the money.

“Most people are trying to build a bridge from their product or service to the prospect.”

Example: ‘Hey Paul, you should buy my thing!  It’s amazing for reasons a, b, c, d, l, m, n, o, p & x, y, z. ‘

“It’s much smarter”, he said, “to start with your prospect and build a bridge to your product, service or business.”

Example:  ‘Hey Paul, what’s important to you in life?  Where do you want to go?  What problems do you have?  What are you struggling with? What’s your big dream?’

Then build a bridge from that to whatever solution you have.

Small tweak – major difference in results.
