I read in a book one time, “Those who believe the most, know the least.”
The essence the author was endeavoring to express, I think, was that beliefs can be barriers to knowledge, truth & growth.
The ego seems to want to have everything figured out, or at least maintain that appearance.
But here’s the problem,
…If you already know everything, how can you learn anything?
And that’s why I think 3 of the greatest words for change are…
I don’t know.
Say it out loud.
I don’t know.
The world didn’t come crashing down, did it?
It almost felt a bit freeing right?
A bit peaceful, to not have to have it all figured out.
And now, we’re open, for new information come in and help us move forward.
A great friend of mine said it this way…
‘True wisdom arises from a place of not knowing.
There is more peace and comfort in not knowing than there is living in the certainty of something that’s not true.’
