Options & Benefits

I’m so grateful earning a great income from home does not require ‘selling‘ in the traditional sense.

Instead, it’s more about gently guiding those who are open, through an educational process where they can discover options & benefits for their better future.

Once you get to a point in the conversation where they tell you “I’m ready to get started“, a great way to help them proceed is to present the options & benefits.

Presenting 2 options for someone to choose from is a great way to help them get started moving in the right direction.

Letting someone know they have 2 choices to proceed in the way both they and you want, is called an ‘exclusive or language pattern and works great in guiding people to and through decisions.

“Great!  There are 2 ways to get started.  Option A or Option B. Which one would you like to start with?”

Another thing you can do though, is present the benefits of one vs. the other and then let them choose the one that’s right for them.

In my business, people can get started on a $7 trial or they can get started with the full price $125 per month membership right from the start.

Looking at those 2 choices, you’d guess that most would choose the trial, and you’d be right,

…they probably would, without the benefits & options properly presented.

Example:  “Awesome Kathy.  There are 2 ways to get started.  The first one is our trial membership for $7.  The 2nd option is our fast start, and this is where you skip the trial and go right into our full membership.

There are 2 benefits to this.

First, it ends up being less expensive because you skip the trial cost AND it can mean much faster pay because when your customers choose this option, it ends up being a much faster turnaround time on commission payouts.

Either option is great.

Which one would you like?

Not surprisingly, when presented in the right way, nearly 100% choose the 2nd option even though it initially looks like it’s more expensive than the trial.

That’s the magic, of options & benefits.  🙂
