Yesterday someone called me on the phone and pitched me on something… when I told her I’m happy with what I’m doing she said,
But with what I’m telling you about you don’t have to recruit.
I say to myself in a state of confusion,
“Then why am I talking to you on the phone right now, listening to your recruiting pitch?” 🤦♂️
I understand that there are some things that may not require recruiting, and that people are excited about recruiting into these things.
I have no problem with that.
The thing that was slightly annoying about this call, was that after I told this person I was on a 4 wheeler ride with my son, and it wasn’t a good time.
She kept pitching.
After I told her I wasn’t open.
She kept pitching.
I’m well aware that Napoleon Hill wrote in Think And Grow Rich that ‘No doesn’t necessarily mean no.’
But sometimes it really does.
Learning to recognized the difference can help you build relationships for the future, instead of pushing them away.
