People often quote Jim Rohn's famous saying "Profits are better than wages," but are they?
I talked to a friend a while back who was driving truck for a company.
He told me "What really burns me up is knowing how much money I'm making these guys compared to how little they're paying me.
I mean, I make them thousands and thousands of dollars per day and they only pay me a few hundred."
The thing my friend was missing was the 97% of the rest of what went into making that company a company – aside from the shipping boxes part.
The profits sure looked better than the wages to my friend, but I'm betting he probably enjoyed far less stress and responsibility than the one running the show.
He was also guaranteed a check for showing up to work each day.
So maybe, profits are only better than wages if you're also up for all the other stuff that tags along with them.
