Lessons From Lava

This last weekend we met up with some friends of ours in Lava Hot Springs.

If you ever come to Idaho, Lava is a great place to visit.

It’s a little resort town that has

• natural hot pools
• a great swimming facility with diving boards and super fun slides for the kids.
• a small river  you can float with tubes
• great trout fishing in nearby Chesterfield reservoir

We had a great time with our fellow #FreedomCrusading friends Rob and Kimberly Skinner and their son Levi.

Rob and Kimberly are currently building a network marketing company and having tons of success.

In fact, they recently advanced to a new leadership rank faster than anyone else has ever done it in their company (and it’s a big company).

WAHOOO – Way to go!

One of Rob’s secrets is hard work (but he loves it).

They’re doing it the good old fashioned way of talking to people and exposing warm markets.

I don’t think talking to people and giving invitations will ever go out of style.

Rob and Kimberly are both active members of The Home Business Academy but aren’t building it as an income stream at the moment, as they’re focused on building their networking team which is awesome.

One day we were on Rob’s boat in Chesterfield reservoir doing some fishing and I shared with him that I’ve seen an 80% annual retention rate amongst my personal enrollments in The Academy over the past 2 years (which is pretty amazing).

I told him I chalk it up to 4 things.

1. Quality products that people like
2. Good culture
3. The ability people have to get into profit quickly (Only 2 referrals to be in positive cash flow)
4. And real relationships

Rob told me that the relationship aspect is a big reason he’s active with me in The Academy.

I don’t care what you’re building, taking time to build relationships with people can have massive effects on the long-term stability of your business.  

And like John Maxwell said,

“If you take time to build relationships with people, you’ll find fulfillment wherever you are.”
