Entice & Takeaway

One of my first home business mentors taught me a powerful lesson.

He said “When you’re fishing and a fish goes for the bait, if you pull the bait away just a little,  the fish will want it even more.”

When I was endeavoring to persuade my beautiful wife to marry me, I told her,

“If you say no, of course I’ll be heartbroken but eventually, I’ll get over it and everything will be fine.”

She said yes.  🙂

In sales, there’s a delicate balance between follow up and pushing your prospect away.

Sending the link before you have permission is too much.

Telling someone how to join after they’ve said ‘no’, also too much.

Continuing to pitch after your prospect gives you an indication that they’re not a match, maybe also too much.

Scarcity creates pressure to push.

Abundance fosters an environment of freedom from which you can more successfully attract.
