Tears, A Miracle, A Mortgage & A Message Of Faith

I cried like a baby The day I paid off my mortgage.

This was the day I’d been anticipating and looking forward to in my mind for YEARS.

It wasn’t until about 90 days earlier however, that I’d begun to visualize this specific day every day morning and night, for three months straight.

It’s actually a pretty crazy story.

I was coming out of one of my home business funks.

Have you ever been one of those?

You know it’s where you get depressed and confused, wonder if you should keep going or not.

I’ve definitely had a few of those times in my business.

Can you relate?

Napoleon Hill says that in every apparent setback lies the seed of an equal or greater advantage.

This would seem to be a story that proves that through and through.

So I was in one of my funks, I was trying to figure out what to do to get out of it.

I happen to go through a training module, my sponsor had put together.

In the training, he said that “funks” are always caused by lack of clarity.

He proceeded to teach that clarity, in your life, your vision, and your business is like the sunshine coming up at the dawn and dissipating the darkness.

Sounded good to me so I thought I’d give it a try.

I went through this exercise where I got super clear on something that would really excite me.

The Day I Paid Off My Mortgage

In fact, I got so clear that I visualized the exact moment, where I was and what I would be doing.

I had it all planned out.

Corene and I would drop the kids off at grandpa and grandma’s so we could go take the last mortgage payment to the bank, and then go celebrate.

After spending the day shopping and watching a movie, we would come home that night, and I would be invited to speak on our company conference call share my story of victory.

I recorded this vision on my iPhone, and I would listen to it every morning and every night.

I did this for 90 days, and what’s crazy, is a few days before the goal deadline, we had enough money to pay off the mortgage on the house.

So my vision played out that day exactly the way I had been imagining it in my mind with only 2 exceptions.

(1.  It was just a little early and 2.  I didn’t get invited to speak on the company conference call)

No here’s the super, crazy, weird thing,

(or maybe if you’re a person of faith, this will make perfect sense to you).

Exactly one week later, my wife and I were shopping in Idaho Falls Idaho.

We had spent the day up there and we were driving home.

It was a Monday.

On the way home my phone rang. It was my team member Justin telling me that the company owner wanted me to get on the conference call.

I couldn’t believe it.

The thing that was so strange about that last piece of the puzzle coming together was the fact that I had told no one about that part of my vision.

I don’t think I’d ever spoken on One of those calls before so it wasn’t like it was a regular occurrence.

Out of the blue, in an inexplicable way, The vision that I’d been believing and having faith in, came to pass.

“God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform”

Amen to that.

And I am reminded again to choose ONE goal and focus my mind, heart, and soul on it for a period of time and leave the rest to God.
