To me, tolerance is when you can say,
“I may disagree with you, but I love you anyway.”
And a step further, “There’s a great chance I could be wrong.”
It the opposite of intolerance.
It’s the way a higher level consciousness responds to a lower level consciousness.
Do you respond with hatred, revenge or ill will?
Or do you respond with peace, love and understanding?
My friend Todd once told me,
‘The higher can understand the lower, but the lower cannot understand the higher.’
Perhaps this is why Napoleon Hill called Tolerance a ‘privilege‘ instead of a ‘duty’.
It’s a privilege because it becomes an option of one who has evolved.
Tolerance – a higher consciousness choice.
