Let There Be Light

One of my favorite lines from the entire Bible is from the opening pages of Genesis where God says, “Let there be light, and there was light.”

I wonder how much better life and the world could be if we all strived for this ideal.

To think light and speak light, always.

I’m definitely not perfect at this (yet) but it’s certainly an ideal I love reaching for.

This morning on our Think And Grow Rich Mastermind, Lorraine Menza shared an awesome, related quote from St. Francis…

“All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle.”

Love that!

This morning in my study I read a line from the Old Testament that said…

“Fear not, I am thy shield and thy exceeding great reward.”

A Friend of mine Lori Sue mentioned that one of her friends counted 300 Bible references to the concept of “Fear not.”

Perhaps one way to interpret ‘light’ is an absence of fear, worry and anxiety – and instead, an abundance of faith.

Faith in yourself, calm assured belief in your goal, and faith that the infinite, has your back with a master plan.

Proverbs 4:18 states that “the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

To me that says, if we’re not perfectly filled just yet, that’s ok.

We can progress, and there are better things waiting for us in our futures.
