Life’s Question

I once wrote that ‘Life is the question, love is the answer.’

Victor Frankl in Man’s Search for Meaning wrote,

‘…it did not really matter what we expected of life, but rather what life expected from us.  We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life — daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual.’

It’s now clear to me that life certainly is a question, of which love is one of the answers.

But maybe there are others.

Persistence, patience, kindness, humble unrecognized service and a myriad of other answers could be the proper responses to life’s question.

Today is a new day with new questions.

What will be your answers to life’s question mark?
