When Marketing Hurts Sales

I see some home business owners making facebook posts or doing lives and never bothering to check or respond to messages in their inbox.

Here’s why that’s so weird to me.

Over my last few months of home business activity, I’ve noticed something strange.

The vast majority of my sales have come – not from mass messages but rather, from 1 on 1 engagement.

Sure there are some gurus out there who have such a massive following, they have no need to engage 1 on 1 with prospects.

It’s been my experience (13 years total – 9 years full time) from home, that these gurus are the extreme minority.

For most of us, learning to engage 1 on 1 with prospects is by far, the most effective thing we can do to generate sales – especially in the beginning stages of the game.

I guess this can serve as a reminder to me and you, that attempting to be the Guru before you actually are the guru is when marketing hurts sales.
