John Maxwell said, “Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.”
Per this definition, Gandhi was a leader and so was Hitler.
Seems wrong to put those 2 men in the same bucket, doesn’t it?
Perhaps, we need 2 more words.
Principle centered.
Leadership where the ends do not justify the means.
Leadership based not alone on what’s useful, but on what’s right as well.
Principle centered leadership.
